Wardrobe planning

Home » Wardrobe planning

Every spring I get my sew kick back in action. And that means that I get to plan a HELL of a lot before sewing anything.

The tool guide I use to plan out my made wardrobe:

In the past few years, I have been using a Seamswork free resource to plan my sewing planning. The resources have changed slightly over the years, but the main goal is the same; sew your me-made wardrobe.

Here is a like to download the planner: https://promo.seamwork.com/free-planner. You might need to subscribe to their newsletter, but it is worth it.

Step 1: Set a goal

To make well-made clothing that makes me feel pretty.

How I came to this goal:

I would like to have a collection of clothing items that are well made, suffocated and that represents my personality.

Step 2: Concept in 3 words

Simple – Elegante – Practical and Comfortable

This collection is designed for this life context:

  • Work ( 95% of my time is sitting in front of a computer)
  • Dates
  • Home (comfy mode)

Step 3: Mood of my collection

  • Tomboy
  • bold graphic print
  • white t-shirt
  • no zipper
  • elastic or drawstring pants
  • oversize
  • prefers classic pattern pattern

Color inspiration

  • orange, blue, green, warm tones

Items that are currently missing in my wardrobe:

Cardigan or pullover ( I AM ALWAYS COLD)

Jeans (Who doesn’t need an extra pair of pants!)

T-shirt ( linen and jersey fabric)

Pleated pants

Dress shirt
Don’t have a pattern for this yet.
